Rafal is situated some 10 minutes from Orihuela's historical city and 20 minutes to the coast.
In Rafal there is a great passion for music and the village boasts not only a musical academy but also an impressive purpose built auditorium. Fiestas are held at the beginning of October and are celebrated with processions, open air dances and parades.
