Formentera
Formentera is in the south of the Costa Blanca amongst the orange and lemon groves. Located a short distance from the blue flag beaches of Guardamar where you will find the great sand sculptures which must be seen. The village has several bakeries, butchers and small shops although there are larger supermarkets in Rojales only a few minutes away. The neighbouring towns and villages of Benijofar, Rojales and Benimar have many bars, cafes and restaurants with all types of food and drink to sample.
Just around the corner from the apartment is a municipal Swimming pool and several sports playing areas including football, basketball, squash and two children's playing areas. There is a walk way where you can stroll alongside the Segura river and into the neighbouring villages of Benimar and Benijofar.
Around 20 minutes away drive is the Rio Safari park in Elche which is a great family day out. They have several shows throughout the day which is included in the entrance price. Torrevieja is a 15 minute drive away with a fantastic commercial centre Habeneras where you will find everything from DIY to Zara and C&A for some retail therapy for all the family. There are several water parks in the surrounding area with the nearest being only 10 minutes drive away.
There are numerous golf courses within the area many only 10-15 minutes drive away. Rojales has it’s own 18 hole course, situated in Cuidad Quesada. The infamous La Finca Golf Club in Algorfa where they held the 2005 Spanish open. You can Pre-book Tee times and fees over the internet before your visit and make some great savings. Other golf courses include Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamar.
